OVERVIEW

The lectures in ophthalmology are designed to give instructions on disease of the eye to include optical problems and management.

 

OBJECTIVES

 

At the end of this course the student should have acquired knowledge, skill and attitudes which will enable him to

  1. understand the principles and practice of ophthalmology
  2. examine clinically, the eye and all patients of ophthalmology
  3. describe all common eye diseases including their causations, complications and methods of prevention
  4. manage common cases of ophthalmology
  5. manage emergency cases in ophthalmology
